The Hermes Birkin bag has been a go-to bag for women wishing to simply their status and own a highly sought after luxury item. Today we can see the Birkin being carried by businesswomen to celebrities, and has been a staple of the successful woman since the mid 90's.


The bag was inspired by actress Jane Birkin when creative director Dumas sat next to her on a plane and noticed the contents spilling out of her purse. Part of the fascination of the bag is its limited release, and the rarity of certain colors and prints.
